Position: IOT Cloud Operations Engineer

Exp: 5-8 Years

Location: Pune-Kharadi

Mode: 5 Days WFO


Education: B.E / ME/ MCA (Information Systems, Computer Engineering and Technology)


TECHNICAL


Experience with any Cloud platforms e.g., AWS.

Experience with AWS Cloud service: IOT Core, MSK, EKS, CloudWatch, SNS, DynamoDB, RDS, Elasticache, API gateway, S3, ECR, ELB, Route53, Cloudfront, KEDA

Experience with AWS Cloud Formation and CDK deployment

Experience on Kubernetes microservices & web application deployment, administration and monitoring.

Hands on experience of database systems such as AWS RDS, SQL, MySQL, etc.Web Services (SOAP & REST), Interoperability Standards(JSON, API Mgmt, XML)

Scripting knowledge using Python, Javscript, Bash, or Groovy for scripting and automation.

Understanding of Microservices, ESB and any app server.

Knowledge of networking concepts such as IP addresses, DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP, CDN, and VPN

Knowledge about key security concepts such as firewalls

Knowledge with CI & automation tools like Jenkins, Github, Docker / Kubernetes, Chef/Puppet.

Sound knowledge and experience on reading and interpreting testing report and debugging using tools like Datadog, Postman, Charles, Kibana

Excellent knowledge and experience in AWS Cloud Infrastructure/operations.

Hands on experience with managing Production systems using AWS cloud services.

Hands on experience in cloud infrastructure deployments.

Knowledge on AWS Load Balancer, Kubernetes.


Key Deliverables :

Maintain 24x7x365 Global operations center which provides eyes- on- glass monitoring, alerting and rapid issue resolution to suit our requirements on availability and high performance of various cloud based applications.

Provide support for 1st (L1) and 2nd (L2) line Cloud Operations team.

Proactively Monitoring application performance, availability and execution of run books to prevent outages and restore service to maximize availability

Actively manage established Incident, Problem, Change and Service Request fulfillment processes based on ITIL framework


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

The Cloud Operations engineer shall be responsible to maintain a multitude of cloud platforms including AWS.

Ability to perform system monitoring and maintain run books on a continuous basis,ideas towards automation of incident triage-ing and responses

Identify, Share areas of opportunities and improve processes.

Focusing on proactive issue prevention and root cause resolution.

Understand the Incidents process to minimize service disruption duration.

Collaborate with fellow engineers in conducting daily health checks on Cloud applications to prevent impact on consumers.

Adherence to key metrics, processes, workflow and tracking incidents against strict SLAs.

Ensure adherence to Service Levels Agreements for both response and resolution times

Escalate as appropriate to right levels to ensure timely issue resolution

Strictly adhere to Whirlpool operational procedures, policies, reporting and escalation standards

Maintain internal documentation and runbooks creation covering all aspects of team activities

Follow defined standards, guidelines and quality throughout the deliverables.

Identify opportunity areas to automate manual operations.
