About Giant Eagle Bangalore

The Giant Eagle GCC in Bangalore is our global capability centre. Our team of more than 350 members at the GCC enables us to expand internal capabilities in the areas such as data analytics, merchandising and eCommerce, quality engineering, and automation to generate insights for faster decision-making and help us accelerate our business strategy. Our team in India plays a pivotal role in helping the company transition to new ways of working by redefining the food and grocery shopping experience for over 4.6 million customers.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement AI and machine learning models, algorithms, and systems to address specific business challenges and objectives.
• Train, fine-tune, and optimize AI models using various techniques, including deep learning, reinforcement learning, and natural language processing.
• Evaluate model performance and iterate on improvements to ensure optimal results and accuracy.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, product teams to design and integrate AI / LLM solutions into real-world applications.
• Analyze, develop, and implement state-of-the-art techniques in the field of Large Language Models (LLM) and Generative AI.
• Stay up to date with the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and generative models, and apply this knowledge to enhance existing models and methodologies.
• Provide technical specialization in fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
• Collaborate with product teams to integrate AI solutions into real-world applications and platforms.

Minimum Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s in computer science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs) such as GPT, Llama2 or similar architectures.
• Knowledge of LLM-integration frameworks such as Langchain, and proficiency in fine – tuning these models for specific tasks.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and experience with LLM, deep learning frameworks.
• Demonstrated ability to drive projects from ideation to implementation, producing tangible outcomes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a creative mindset to address complex AI challenges.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with deploying AI models into production environments is desirable.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or a related field.
• 6+ years impactful experience in Al-relevant fields, such as machine learning, deep learning, multi-agent systems, planning, and large language models.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python
• Experience with big data technologies
• Track record of successful deployment of AI-enhanced systems
• Experience with testing and evaluation of AI systems, explainable AI, or AI fairness and bias assessment.
