A key element of delivering our SmartSense platform is the integration of systems across the built environment. Our team’s expertise in system integration provides effective and dynamic IOT solutions that maximise the impact SmartSense has for clients in delivering operational and ESG performance.


We are looking for a Senior Project Professional with experience in BMS and/or M&E installation within the real estate and Facilities Management sector (including BEMS, IOT and system integration) to lead the Project Management Office (PMO) and oversee all aspects of project delivery including the pre-construction, construction and commissioning phases of projects.

You will be experienced in managing project teams and multiple stakeholders with direct expertise in managing complete project operations including subcontractor management, valuations, variations and manpower planning.


You will lead a team of project managers as well as taking directly control of key client projects, ensuring that works are delivered safely, on time and on budget. You will ensure that projects fully satisfy client and company requirements, supporting Ecolibrium’s vision and contributing to the growth of the business through effective delivery.


You will be part of a growing team and you will bring leadership, a strong delivery mindset and extensive project management experience, ideally gained within a blue-chip corporate organisation.


Key responsibilities:

Communication & Leadership

  • Work in close cooperation with the commercial, product and on-boarding teams as well as client delivery teams on all aspects of the project.
  • Offer high level strategic and delivery thinking at a project level and communicate this throughout the project team.
  • Produce precise and succinct project reports for both internal and external distribution.
  • Manage contractor engagement and meetings throughout all phases of a project.

Health & Safety

  • Take a lead role for Health & Safety ensuring all legal and company requirements are met
  • Proactively work with project and client teams to ensure standards are maintained and projects are delivered safely
  • Maintain an up to date knowledge of Health & Safety requirements.
  • Actively promote health and safety best practice
  • Ensure all persons working on site have the correct competence and training for their role
  • Maintain accurate documentation in line with legal and company requirements
  • Review and approve RAMS ensuring they are kept updated as the works progress

Commercial

  • Work in close cooperation with the project commercial team
  • Contribute to detailed package scoping documents for subcontract procurement.
  • Ensure contract communications are carried out in a professional and contractually correct manner.
  • Ensure proper project record keeping is maintained.
  • Identify and act on opportunities to reduce cost and/or add value to the project

Planning

  • Develop and continually monitor detailed contract programmes
  • Develop and monitor short-term works programmes, e.g. to support pilot projects or Proofs of Concept (POC).
  • Carry out forward planning exercises identifying constraints that could affect the programme / project and formulate solutions.
  • Produce logistic plans and method statements as required to ensure successful project delivery

Technical & Design

  • Identify problems and offer solutions prior to and during construction
  • Have a good understanding of M&E systems and their integration with building management systems and IOT networks.
  • Be conversant with common management and programming software and proactively engage in new and relevant technologies.

Quality

  • Be suitably experienced to recognise quality issues in project delivery and be able to implement rectification measures.
  • Interpret specifications and ensure compliance on site works


Skills & Experience

  • Proven track record in project delivery working for a system integrator, main contractor or real estate/facility management company.
  • Experience of successfully managing BEMS and system integration projects.
  • Comprehensive awareness of health & safety and good practice in project delivery
  • General knowledge of contracts
  • Good knowledge of IT systems (Planning software, SharePoint and MS Office)
  • Key communication skills necessary to maintain and develop client relationships.
  • Key skills in project planning and time management and effective communication to manage site-based project personnel and take an active role in the professional development of team members
  • Experienced in running effective and productive meetings with a range of key stakeholders, internal and external
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills


Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related field. An advanced degree is a plus.
  • Recognised qualification in Project Management
  • A visionary with a proven track record in strategic planning, individual/team development, and service delivery
  • Possess solid matrix management skills with ability to understand and balance global standards and specifications with regional requirements
