Position Overview

We are seeking qualified and experienced IB (International Baccalaureate) MYP teachers to join our team. The teachers will provide personalized academic support to students enrolled in IB programs, assisting them in achieving their academic goals and maximizing their potential. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IB curriculum, excellent communication skills, and a passion for education. Positions are for Mathematics and Science subjects only.


Responsibilities

1. Conduct small group tutoring sessions with students enrolled in IB MYP programs.

2. Develop personalized lesson plans and teaching strategies to meet the individual needs of each student.

3. Assist students in understanding difficult concepts, completing assignments, and preparing for assessments.

4. Review and provide feedback on students' work, including essays, projects, and exam papers.

5. Foster a supportive and encouraging learning environment that promotes academic growth and confidence.

6. Keep abreast of changes and updates to the IB curriculum and assessment criteria.

7. Communicate regularly with students, parents, and school faculty to track progress and address any concerns.

8. Provide guidance and advice to students on study skills, time management, and effective learning strategies.

9. Collaborate with other teachers and educators to share best practices and resources.


Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (education, subject area related to IB curriculum, etc.).

2. Previous experience teaching or tutoring IB students is required.

3. In-depth knowledge of the IB curriculum, including subject-specific requirements and assessment criteria.

4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students of diverse backgrounds and learning styles.

5. Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students succeed academically.

6. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to plan and deliver effective tutoring sessions.

7. Flexibility and adaptability to accommodate the changing needs of students and the curriculum.

8. Commitment to professional growth and continuous learning.
