Magento Developer - Team Lead

Job Summary

This is an exciting role to be the lead in a new division of an established British eCommerce agency, C3. 

C3 is on the lookout for a tenacious PHP developer to play a key role in setting up a new development team in Gurgaon, India. This is a chance to utilise your tehcnical skills to their full potential whilst increasing your leadership skills by being the initial engineer in the creation of the new team. 

We're looking for someone who can be a senior peer to our development team and work closely with our client-facing team to carry a firm grasp of the clients' requirements from inception, through development with the team, to delivery.

You’ll also work at a foundational level with all our sites ensuring they’re well maintained, up to date, security issues have been addressed and they’re well documented. 

Duties and responsibilities:

• Implement best in class development team management.
• Provide support and guidance to more junior developers.
• Effectively communicate with team leaders and managers.
• Work on end-to-end eCommerce projects, as well as provide day-to-day client support in the form of new feature development, bug fixing, and consultation.
• Proactively offer solutions to complex technical problems.
• Undertake peer reviews and provide feedback on work produced by other development team members.
• Produce elegant, concise solutions to complex technical problems and specifications.
• Produce comprehensive technical and user documentation.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Experience managing technical teams.
• PHP 4+ years commercial experience.
• MySQL 4+ years commercial experience.
• JavaScript 4+ years commercial experience.
• Commercial experience using modern PHP frameworks such as Laravel, CodeIgniter, Symfony, Zend etc.
• Commercial experience using frontend JS libraries and frameworks such as jQuery, RequireJS, Vue.js, Angular etc.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Practical knowledge of common design patterns.
• Experience with modern source control and deployment techniques and software.
• Experience using the Linux environment.
• Experience working with online project management tools such as JIRA.
• Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
• Strong initiative, commitment, and a positive, "whatever it takes” attitude.
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
• A desire to stay up to date with the latest developments within eCommerce Technical Development 
• Experience in cloud technologies (AWS, Fastly and CDN)
