Position overview:
The BI Development team is looking for an energetic technologist to support our reporting systems. As a Cognos Data Module Developer, candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Cognos Data Modules to support our business intelligence initiatives. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, design data modules, and create efficient data models. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and accessibility for reporting and analysis.
Job Description:
- Module Development : Develop and maintain Cognos Data Modules to facilitate efficient data retrieval, transformation, and aggregation.
- Modeling : Design and implement data models that align with business requirements and best practices for data warehousing.
- Integration : Integrate data from various sources, ensuring data consistency, quality, and reliability.
- Optimization : Optimize data modules and queries for optimal performance and responsiveness.
- Security : Implement data security measures to protect sensitive information and ensure compliance with data governance policies.
- Collaboration : Work closely with business analysts, data engineers, and other stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver solutions accordingly.
- Documentation : Maintain comprehensive documentation for data modules, data models, and data integration processes.
- and Quality Assurance : Conduct thorough testing to ensure data accuracy and resolve any data-related issues.
- and Support : Provide training and support to end-users and assist in resolving data-related inquiries or problems.
- Improvement : Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data module development and recommend improvements to existing processes.
Technical Skills:
- hands-on experience and Proficiency as a Quicksight BI Developer.
- in data warehouse design (e.g. dimensional modeling) and data mining.
- SQL & NoSQL skills and expertise in data modeling techniques.
- on experience with Redshift
- of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes

Secondary Skills:
- Investment Banking or Global Markets business Domain knowledge
- with other BI tools such as Cognos, SSRS < Power BI

- with Java SDK and Javascript.
- in BI Development and related tools
Qualification:
Degree/Postgraduate in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
