This IT/OT Solution Architect position within the Zensar Technologies will have responsibility for the solutioning the IT/OT requirements as per the customer demands. This role will be responsible for supporting solution and technical architects in both the IT (Information Technology) and OT (Operational Technology) domains as well as continuing to build out an advanced architecture practice. This position will play a vital role in developing the organization’s future vision, product roadmaps and value stream roadmaps as well as driving innovation in technology to deliver forward-looking solutions. In addition, this role will proactively work with peers and business partners to provide architecture services, support, and training to advance the overall Zensar’s IT/OT strategy. This position will have both a focus on Enterprise products and of Field capabilities to drive digital adoption. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of both IT and OT principles to apply industry best practices to our suite of network architectures, technologies, and tools. This role will proactively work closely with peers across the Network, data center, Digital Workplace, Digital Operation, Cloud Infrastructure, and Cybersecurity as well as Zensar’s business partners to effectively collaborate on solutions and priorities. Key Responsibilities Understands the overall organizational vision and collaborates with management to set team goals that translate into actionable plans at the team level. Adapt and execute plans and priorities based on established strategies and objectives Collaborates with key business and IT stakeholders to identify technology needs and opportunities and works with internal IT groups to provide effective solutions to address business needs. Develop continuous improvement techniques Lead the design and development of complex IT/OT solutions that align with business goals and industry best practices. Provide strategic guidance and technical leadership to cross-functional teams throughout the project lifecycle. Architect scalable, resilient, and secure IT/OT systems, considering factors like high availability, disaster recovery, and data integrity. Conduct in-depth analysis of business requirements, technical constraints, and regulatory/compliance standards to inform solution designs. Define architectural standards, frameworks, and methodologies for IT/OT projects, ensuring consistency and adherence to best practices. Collaborate with senior management, stakeholders, and clients to define IT/OT strategy, roadmaps, and investment priorities. Mentor and coach junior architects and engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning. Evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and platforms to assess their suitability for IT/OT solutions and recommend adoption strategies. Lead vendor evaluations, negotiations, and partnerships to leverage third-party products and services for IT/OT initiatives. Drive the evolution of IT/OT architectures, promoting modernization, automation, and optimization to enhance operational efficiency. Manage risks, issues, and dependencies related to IT/OT projects, proactively addressing challenges and ensuring successful delivery. Collaborate with cybersecurity experts to implement robust security controls, threat detection mechanisms, and incident response plans for IT/OT environments. Engage with regulatory bodies, industry forums, and standards organizations to stay updated on IT/OT trends, regulations, and compliance requirements. Participate in executive-level meetings, steering committees, and board presentations to communicate IT/OT strategies, progress, and outcomes. Technical Expertise Deep understanding of IT and OT systems, including network infrastructure, servers, storage, databases, industrial control systems (ICS), SCADA, PLCs, and HMI systems. Proficiency in designing and implementing IT/OT integration solutions, such as middleware platforms, API gateways, and data exchange protocols (e.g., MQTT, OPC UA, Modbus). Experience with industrial automation technologies, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), distributed control systems (DCS), and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems. Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices relevant to IT/OT environments, including network segmentation, access control, encryption, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and security incident response. Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their applicability to IT/OT deployments, including hybrid cloud architectures and edge computing solutions. Expertise in designing fault-tolerant, high-availability IT/OT architectures, encompassing redundancy, failover mechanisms, load balancing, and disaster recovery strategies. Proficient in software development methodologies, programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++), and scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) for automation, customization, and integration of IT/OT systems. Experience with data analytics, machine learning, and AI technologies for deriving insights, predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, and optimization of IT/OT processes. Knowledge of industrial protocols and standards (e.g., OPC, DNP3, IEC 61850) used in OT environments, as well as interoperability challenges and solutions for heterogeneous IT/OT ecosystems. Expertise in performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting of IT/OT systems, using tools like Nagios, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, and Wireshark. Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards applicable to IT/OT solutions, such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISA/IEC 62443, ISO/IEC 27001, and IEC 61508/61511 for functional safety. Education and Experience Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other computer-related degree required. 10+ years of diversified IT and OT experience required. 3+ years of experience leading IT and OT solutions Strong understanding of IT and OT Portfolio and Agile management preferred Advantage Zensar We are a technology consulting and services company with 11, 800+ associates in 33 global locations.
