Role Summary: As an AWS Cloud Architect, you will be responsible for designing, deploying and managing complex and scalable AWS based solutions. Key Tasks & Accountability: · Design and architect cloud solutions on the AWS platform, including infrastructure as code (IaC), serverless computing, containerization, and microservices architecture. · Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define technical specifications, and develop architectural designs that meet business objectives. · Lead the implementation and deployment of cloud-based solutions, ensuring adherence to best practices and industry standards. · Evaluate and recommend cloud services and technologies to optimize performance, cost, and security. · Develop and maintain documentation, including architecture diagrams, design documents, and operational procedures. · Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, ensuring alignment with architectural principles and best practices. · Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in cloud computing and AWS services and assess their potential impact on our architecture and solutions. Education and Experience: Domain expertise and qualifications include, but are not limited to: · Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent professional experience. · 3-6 years of experience in cloud architecture and design, with a focus on AWS. · Experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. · Familiarity with machine learning and artificial intelligence technologies. Skills: · Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as JavaScript, Python. · AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional are highly preferred . · Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, principles, and best practices. · Experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, IAM, Terraform, Cognito, VPC, CloudWatch and CloudFormation. · Basic knowledge on DevOps services like ECS, ECR, EKS. · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. · Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
