<h4>Job Description</h4><ul style="font-weight: 400;"> <li> <ul style="font-weight: 400;"> <li> <ul> <li>Develop concepts through to production, to ensure robust, cost-sensitive design solutions.</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Work with the Senior Designer to develop and implement solid design concepts to meet the requirements defined in customer contract.</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Perform Lamp Level or Component Level packaging studies, balancing physical space limitations.</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Define CAD files which communicate design intent from a singular component to a multi-component assembly.</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Create and define robust, computer aided design files, consistent with Auto systems Standards, capable of enduring multiple design revisions quickly and efficiently.</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Support data translation at the request of our Supply base to facilitate tool builds and concurrent design activity in CAD packages, other than that used by Auto systems.</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Determine and communicate dimensional measurement plans to ensure moulded parts meet design intent.</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Create 2D drawings (customer, component, compliance).</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Assist Senior Designer in updating design checklist.</li> </ul> <br /><br /><strong><strong>Key Qualifications/Requirements</strong></strong><span></span> <ul> <li>Two or three years post-secondary school (university or Community college) (Engineering Field) or Associates in CAD</li> </ul> <ul> <li>2-5 years experience</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Solid control of Parametric Free Form Surface and Solid modelling in 1-2 in Unigraphics/NX</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Knowledge of standard plastics geometries to ensure manufacturing controls (ie: Draft, Wall stock, Rads and Fillets) are incorporated</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Perform translation of data utilizing industry standard translation software as required</li> </ul> <br /><br /><strong><strong>Additional Information</strong></strong><span></span> <ul> <li>Ability to adhere to all company policies and procedures in a professional and consistent manner.</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Able to apply common sense understanding and use of appropriate judgment in routine business situations with supervisor, co-workers and customers.</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Ability to establish goals, priorities, and management time effectively</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Comprehensive knowledge MS Office package</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Advanced knowledge to analyze and learn new tools</li> </ul> </li> </ul> </li> </ul><h4>Employement Category:</h4><b>Employement Type: </b>Full time</br><b>Industry: </b>IT Services & Consulting </br><b>Role Category: </b>Site Engineering / Project ManagementGeneral / Other Software </br><b>Functional Area: </b>Not Applicable</br><b>Role/Responsibilies: </b>Hiring for _Design Engineers
