Branch Operations Manager

This position exists to managing and control the branch operations and for ensuring smooth

functioning of the branch set up and contribute to achieving the P&L objective. This role would

create the second in command for the Branch Manager.

The position is expected to accomplish a clean audit rating by handling transactions in line

with regulatory and internal guidelines and also to meet the expectations of internal and

external clients. This position is also expected to supervise and guide staff on all operational &

P&L related deliverables.


Key Accountabilities (List the expected end results or KPIs that the incumbent is expected

1. Manage & supervise various functions of Operations of the branch as per defined process

notes and in line with regulatory and compliance guidelines.

2. Adherence to agreed TATs with business thereby ensuring customer satisfaction.

3. Manage audit at branch and ensure minimum satisfactory rating at all times.

4. Ensure that the workload distribution is done basis the volumes and transactions are

authorised in a timely manner and with Zero errors.

5. Handle exceptions, deferrals and ensure closure within timelines. Ensure MIS and reports

are submitted in a timely manner.

6. Maintain filing and documents maintenance as per filing process and quality initiatives

taken at branch level.

7. Process & Product improvement and initiatives to be taken through ideation and ensuring

zero errors.

8. Support branch target achievement through effective upselling and cross-selling to the

customers


Job Duties & responsibilities (List the principal duties of the incumbent. Use concise

1. Manage & control all operational functions of the branch with zero errors.

2. Ensure adequate coordination with centralized operations teams to maintain high quality

service and internal and external customer satisfaction.

3. Ensure timely receipt and submission of regulatory and other reports by the Branch.

4. Participate in process improvement exercises within branch/cluster.

5. Identify areas where productivity enhancement and cost reduction initiatives can be

introduced.

6. Initiate team meetings internally within Ops as well as with business teams of the branch

and circulate minutes to all stake holders at regular intervals.

7. Any other job duty and responsibility assigned to you by branch Head from time to time or

on adhoc basis.

8. Support and ensure delivery of the P&L objective for the branch

Experience (Indicate nature and extent of work experience including number of years

required, if applicable.)

Minimum 4 to 6 years’ experience in General Branch Banking Operations out which at least 2

years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
