This role is positioned to drive the success of the "New Health Care Company”. The Impact You’ll Make in this RoleAs a Country Controller, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:Being responsible for the timely and accurate financial statements and reporting, under US GAAP and local Statutory Standards (TFRS)Ensuring strong internal controls in financial processes covering local country team and GSC (Global Service Center)Providing guidance to upstream function on full compliance to GFS, SOX and local regulatory requirementsMaintaining uncompromising ethics and integrity, driving compliance mindset in Controllers and upstream functionsKey Responsibilities include:Responsible for local month end closing activities and transmission of monthly financial statements as per assigned transmission date.Work closely with the GSC to ensure smooth transition of assigned activities and resolve gaps and challenges.Strong collaboration with Finance cross stream functions, Treasury, Tax, Audit, EO, to provide guidance on internal controls and compliance to agreed procedures.Responsible for the accounting of local country Travel and Expenses.Regular review of Balance Sheet reconciliation to ensure all outstanding items are current, addressing aged items appropriately. Lead local projects to align with global processes and utilize standard reports and tools.Provide guidance, training and develop Controllers team.Ensure zero Primary and Repeat points from Internal audit in Controllers function, and sustenance of the assigned Management Action Plans.Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting/Finance3 to 4 years of work experience in Corporate Accounting & Reporting/Audit/Statutory Financial ClosingAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Experience in collaboration with shared service center and the interdependencies between cross functionsKnowledge of US GAAP, Local Statutory Financial Standards and Corporate Tax RegulationsKnowledge of Exact, MS Office ApplicationsFor current employees, internal transfer restrictions may not apply.
