Position Objective:


This role will be completely responsible


Managing, growing, and evolving the supply chain operations (trading and sourcing, except manufacturing) for the company, including vendor/partner management, facility management, warehouse management, sourcing management, inventory management, import and logistics management, group company management, external customer management, and statutory compliances, including customs assessments and clearances, environmental controls, and accounting.


He/she will be accountable for the operational and warehousing cost management for the company. The role includes developing and executing a long-term strategy to fulfill the diverse and complex trading needs of the varied group companies across a wide range of products.

He/she will also be a member of the India Leadership Team.


Responsibilities:


  • Understand the group’s operations, formulate, and execute a long-term strategy for developing and strengthening the supply chain operations (excluding manufacturing) to deliver on all performance parameters.
  • Assess, appoint, train, and manage partners for logistics, customs, warehousing, and international freight.
  • Develop and implement the warehousing strategy to meet local and international supply needs, including the evaluation and management of warehousing infrastructure.
  • Design, set up, and manage comprehensive trading operational systems and processes with the accounting and finance team (F&A) and deliver the performance KPIs as required.
  • Define, implement, operate, and manage the ERP system along with the F&A team for process effectiveness.
  • Define and manage inventory and warehousing management systems, including inspection, storage, and obsolescence, to meet group financial and inventory performance standards.
  • Manage the risks related to trading operations, including pollution control, inventory obsolescence, and credit exposure.
  • Define and operate simple control systems to achieve cost efficiencies in freight, customs, warehousing, administration, and logistics.
  • Build good understanding and develop effective engagement with group companies to educate, build awareness, and assist in all infrastructure, imports, shipping, inventory management, and clearances.
  • Set up and implement all regulatory compliance systems and processes to ensure impeccable standards of ethics and efficiency.
  • Develop, execute processes, and manage partners, along with the finance team, to comply with transfer pricing regulations.
  • Understand the supply needs of various group companies in India and other markets and develop appropriate processes, systems, and relationships to manage and deliver on the expected KPIs.
  • Promote India’s sourcing capabilities to group, identify, and develop sustainable and quality vendors and partners, and manage all the processes and stakeholders to fulfil the supply needs of the group companies.
  • Understand India’s facility needs, identify and evaluate appropriate infrastructure, set up interiors, operate, manage, and maintain the facility utilities, and complete the infrastructure.
  • Assess, propose, and manage all capital assets of the company for sustainable, effective, and efficient utilisation.


Academic Qualification:


  • Graduate from a reputed institute, preferably B.E./ B.Tech.
  • MBA from a reputed institution will prefered.
  • A PG or certificate in operations management will be an advantage.
