Job Description Strategic and Financial Devise and and develop and M&A strategy for BLS to achieve its business growth Understand organizational strategy and its operations in depth to identify synergies with any other organization for merger/ partnership/ alliance Identify appropriate targets for BLS and prepare brief as well as detailed profiles of targets Assess and execute potential investment and acquisition transaction for BLS Drive all stages of the M&A process including origination, valuation, due diligence, transaction execution and integration Lead deal origination by building deep ties across the ecosystem – potential partners, entrepreneurs, VCs, bankers, accelerators/incubators, and other industry participants Create optimal deal structures that will ensure long-term value creation for BLS and ensure that investee companies and their representatives will be aligned with BLS Drive value creation and realization from existing BLS acquisitions and ensure their alignment with BLS strategy Responsible for preparation pitches including credentials, investment highlights, industry overview, buyer/target identification and profiling, indicative valuation Stay abreast with market happenings and provide competitive insights to the corporate planning team and senior management Lead the development of presentation materials synthesizing research findings, data analysis, and recommendations Strategize and drive market research, understanding and tracking competitive landscape, benchmarking of companies and review of industry reports Develop annual budgets in collaboration with corporate planning head and drive adherence to it within the team Identify synergies, efficiencies and cost savings opportunities associated with M&A and identify post deal issues including one time capital expenditure, separation costs, transition services requirements and run rate costs Stakeholder Collaborate internally to gather market pulse and understand organization’s operations in depth Work closely with the senior management in identifying merger and acquisition targets within the business’s market Manage relationships with professional advisors including bankers, lawyers and consultants Collaborate with internal teams to evaluate opportunities, analyzing the opportunity and presenting recommendations based on strategic fit, deal structure and transactional issues Develop strategies in conjunction with top management and also, keeping a track on market changes resulting in business opportunities Operations Coordinate the various activities, develop work plans, roadmaps and templates to track and organize strategic planning activities, and support internal brainstorming and knowledge sharing. Oversee preparation of financial reports of the prospective target organization based on shared private and public information Lead the assessment of prospective business's revenue and staff resources during due diligence Document research findings and present pitch to senior management to initiate action People Role-model highest standards of professional conduct, ethics, integrity in execution of all assigned activities Drive a culture of continuous improvement, learning and active talent engagement Build a strong leadership pipeline through hiring, internal movements, succession planning, talent reviews etc. Mandatory experience / skills / qualification Master’s degree in Business/finance/CA/operations or related field 8-10 years of experience in M&A or related strategic role Previous experience in transaction or operations due diligence, IT due diligence, Integration planning and tracking support, Divestiture management, operational and performance improvement, strategic growth, or other relevant strategy experience
