This is what LifeAtBNYMellon is all about. We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Fund/Client Accounting Manager II to join our Fund Accounting team. This role is located in Chennai,TN - Hybrid.In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:  Oversee Fund Accounting client NAV delivery for mutual funds and overall client satisfaction covering determining net asset values, disseminating NAV, calculating fund performance, allocating expenses, completing reconciliations, and preparing reports. Provide technical guidance to teams to ensure the appropriate understanding related to NAV calculation and dissemination. Als positioning for new business opportunities and support client management on an ongoing basis Review the operating model supporting the accounting product to determine how best to support new initiatives/business, working closely with Operations and Technology for cost efficiencies Assist with fund launches, fund closures, mergers from an operational perspective Coordinating with funds’ independent auditors, internal as well as external auditors and fund administrators Monitor and report on potential and open risks and issues in the business Monitor errors, complaints and potential breaches Performs and monitors quality and internal controls for all team deliverables. Manages the performance of teams and establishes departmental priorities. Maintains relationships with assigned clients and solves any escalated issues related to fund calculations and accounting. Guides and sets priorities for processes that verify the completeness and accuracy of disclosure in financial statements and support adjusted trial balance requirements. Ensures that accounting records are kept in accordance with departmental policies and procedures by providing guidance to teams managed. Assesses GAAP and/or IFRS rules to determine the impact of new regulations on BNY Mellon fund accounting practices. Oversees the preparation of financial reports for clients to review fund performance. Explains reports and accounting complexities to clients. Hires, guides, motivates and develops staff, maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth and their ability to work effectively with their colleagues as a team. Manages working relationships with auditors and clients to make changes to financial reports and ensure they accurately reflect fund performance. To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:  Bachelors degree in accounting or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required + years of total work experience and + years in people management preferred Big accounting firm experience preferred At BNY Mellon, our inclusive culture speaks for itself.
