Qualification: Bachelors in Chemical Engineering

Experience:

•Required: 12 - 15 years of work experience in a combination of roles covering Process Engineering, Procurement, and Operations Management of process plants, with at least 3-5 years of experience in new plant locations.

•Desired: Working knowledge of local language is desirable.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Responsibilities: a. Support the COO/Head - New Projects in establishing user requirements, including plant capacity, scope, features, flexibility, and client-specific requirements. b. Coordinate complete technology transfer for timely execution through the project team on budget, followed by a seamless transition from project to commercial production. c. Support the Attero leadership team in key technology and technical know-how decisions. d. Secure environmental clearances for all plant locations. e. Ensure knowledge transfer across sites as per the Company’s vision through documentation and optimal resource transition. f. Anchor implementation of new technologies and troubleshooting for meeting defined KPIs. g. Develop QC standards in consultation with stakeholders and ensure overall quality assurance. h. Lead process optimization efforts with all stakeholders.

2. New Capacity Creation: a. Act as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for defining user requirements in terms of plant capacity, scope, features, flexibility, and client-specific requirements. b. Prepare the complete technology package, including coordination with R&D and in-plant teams for technology transfer. c. Interact with external entities to finalize all process plant requirements. d. Coordinate basic and detailed engineering with consultants, ensuring readiness of technology transfer documentation. e. Finalize equipment specifications and lead procurement actions. f. Enable smooth technology transfer through the project management team. g. Take complete responsibility for all technical documentation. h. Conduct manpower planning, recruitment, training, and assemble a commissioning/operations team for new plants. i. Ensure a smooth transition to the operations team. j. Provide requisite inputs for securing permissions in a timely manner to deliver projects as per specifications, quality, time, and cost.

3. Operational Responsibilities:

•Be responsible for capacity creation and commencement of commercial operations for designated sites, including:

•Selection of basic and detailed engineering consultants.

•Collaboration with Attero’s internal R&D and in-plant team for the complete technology docket.

•Enable technology transfer by coordinating with all related entities.

•Review detailed engineering designs for feasibility, cost adherence, and quality.

•Lead procurement actions after signing off all equipment specification sheets.

•Ensure compliance with Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) guidelines and other applicable laws.

•Participate in project review meetings and lead corrective actions.

•Coordinate with other departments for quick resolution of escalated matters.

•Lead environmental clearances from authorities.

•Provide requisite inputs for timely preparation of all applications for permissions from authorities.

•Coordinate manpower planning, set up the operations team, recruitment actions, training, pre-commissioning works, and a smooth transition to the operations team.

4. Financial Responsibilities:

•Prepare and adhere to budgets.

•Ensure cost savings through value engineering in technology choices and procurement actions.

5. People Management:

•Direct reports include Process Engineers and Project Engineers.

•Coordinate with all R&D, in-plant, project team, third-party consultancy resources, clients, and operations team.

•Foster an environment of learning, excellence, and innovation.

•Mentor and coach subordinates to develop the team’s capabilities.

•Ensure role clarity and allocate work accordingly.

6. External and Internal Interfaces:

• External: Basic and detailed engineering consultants, OEMs, local stakeholders, government agencies (for environmental clearances, coordination, and support).

• Internal: All internal technical teams at Attero.
