The Day to Day : - Understand all the core AWS Services - Setting up of AWS Servers so that they are scalable and reliable - Plan and Implement backup strategy on AWS servers - Monitor the capacity, storage planning and database performance on AWS - Make suggestions/improvement to our deployment model - Plan and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery and failover procedures with in-depth knowledge of AWS - Configuration and Maintenance of reliable operation of Computer Systems, Network Servers and Networking infrastructure - Troubleshoot hardware/software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions - Plan and implement new upgrades of IT infrastructure - Involve in desktop support efforts in making sure that all desktop applications, workstations and related equipment issues are resolved in timely manner Are we a Match? - You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in preferably Computer Science or Information Technology or a closely related field or equivalent experience - 3 years of experience in the AWS and the system administrator related activities - Good background in Linux/Unix administration - Previous exposure to large-scale systems design - Ability to troubleshoot distributed systems - Hands on experience of virtualization - System Administration and IT Certificates in Linus, Microsoft, or other network is added advantage - Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols - Working experience of the scripting and automation tools (ref:hirist.com)
