Activities of the team/department that this role will operate in;To support the Divisional Manager in managing and overseeing all local staff and operational teams to satisfy the needs of all clients and stakeholders, both internally and externally, in line with health & safety targets and budget aspirations outlined in the Divisional Business Plans. Purpose of the role and your responsibilities;• To manage the operations in line with budget and business plans. • To manage programmes ensuring workload is effectively managed to deliver service excellence• To work safely and promote a safe environment ensuring all operations and supply chain partners work to company H,S&E policies & procedures.• To develop staff and operatives within their areas of responsibility, including planning for succession and enhancing the effectiveness of our people.• To monitor the satisfaction of clients and work through our quality management system to feed this monitoring through the business planning cycle.• To work with the Divisional Manager to develop business plan targets for the future of the division.• To actively foster a positive staff morale. Formal qualifications required;HNC in Civil Engineering or Diploma in Asphalt TechnologyNVQ Level 6Frontline Leadership Programme Skills required;Excellent cost control and value is maximised to ensure profitability Commitment to collaboration & partnering with clients & stakeholdersCommitment to delivering a high-quality service & good understanding of Quality Assurance.Awareness of all company operating safety & environmental proceduresCompetent IT skills and computer literacy using• MS Office, Outlook, Project, Excel, PowerPoint• KHEOPS accounting including Papyrus cost control• E Serve• Causeway walk/talk/build IT Tablet Solution Experience required;Minimum 10 years’ experience in management of highway construction or related activities.Previous experience in a similar role with the resurfacing Sector, and good working technical knowledge of all surfacing productsManaging multiple teams including specialist sub-contractors, and traffic management SCP.
