Job Overview:

As a Research Associate (trainee under probation) at N360 Systems, you will play a pivotal role in supporting research initiatives and business development activities focused on disaster risk reduction, climate change adaptation, and sustainable development. You will work closely with experienced professionals, gaining hands-on experience and mentorship while contributing to the organization's mission.


Key Responsibilities:

·Conduct comprehensive literature reviews and data analysis to inform research initiatives in disaster risk reduction, climate change adaptation, and sustainable development, as well as emerging technology areas.

·Assist in the development of robust research methodologies, data collection tools, and survey instruments to ensure the validity and reliability of research findings.

·Collect, compile, and analyze both quantitative and qualitative data from various sources, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and integrity throughout the process.

·Support the preparation of high-quality reports, presentations, and publications summarizing research findings and providing actionable recommendations to stakeholders.

·Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to contribute to project planning, implementation, and evaluation, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

·Stay abreast of emerging trends, best practices, and advancements in the fields of disaster resilience, climate adaptation, and sustainable development, continuously expanding your knowledge and skill set.

·Actively participate in training sessions, workshops, and capacity-building activities to enhance your expertise and proficiency in relevant areas, contributing to your professional development and growth.


Additional Responsibilities:

·Engage in stakeholder consultations and networking events to build partnerships, identify collaboration opportunities, and support business development efforts.

·Assist in proposal development and grant writing activities, conducting background research and drafting compelling project proposals to secure funding and support for research initiatives.

·Provide administrative support as needed, including scheduling meetings, organizing logistics for events, and managing correspondence, ensuring smooth project operations.


Qualifications:

·Bachelor's or Master's degree in technology, engineering, natural sciences, social sciences, or related field.

·0-3 years of experience in research, data analysis, business development, or relevant field (fresh graduates who are interested in pursuing further careers in other leading think tanks or pursuing higher education from top global universities are encouraged to apply).

·Strong analytical skills and proficiency in quantitative and qualitative research methods.

·Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information effectively.

·Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

·Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and spatial & statistical analysis software (e.g., GEE, Python, R) is a plus.

·Passion for making a positive impact through research, innovation, and collaboration in disaster resilience, climate adaptation, and sustainable development.
