Software Engineering Manager (MEAN Stack OR MERN Stack) : Agile and Customer Implementation Focus


Overview


We are seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead our Agile-based software development team working on a MEAN stack-based platform. In this role, you will oversee the development lifecycle, manage customer implementations, and ensure successful delivery of our platform while handling customer communications and delivery expectations. The candidate should have extensive experience in Agile methodologies, MEAN stack technologies, customer management, and a strong understanding of software development best practices.



Key Responsibilities



Team Leadership and Agile Software Development :

  • Lead and mentor a team of software engineers in Agile-based development methodologies, ensuring adherence to Scrum principles and practices.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, to drive continuous improvement and team collaboration.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, excellence, and accountability within the development team.



Customer Implementation Managemen t

  • Plan, manage, and execute customer implementations of the MEAN stack-based platform, from requirements gathering to deployment, ensuring alignment with customer expectations and business objectives.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, managing communications, addressing concerns, and setting delivery expectations throughout the implementation process.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of customer requirements into the product roadmap and development process.



Project Planning and Delivery

  • Define project scope, timelines, and resource requirements for customer implementations, working closely with stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Develop project plans, track progress, and manage risks to ensure on-time delivery and high-quality results.
  • Monitor resource utilization, identifying opportunities for optimization and cost savings.



Technical Leadership and MEAN Stack Expertise

  • Provide technical guidance and support to the development team, with a focus on MEAN stack technologies (MongoDB, Express.js, Angular, and Node.js) and best practices.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and software development best practices, driving innovation and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Collaborate with product management to prioritize feature development and enhancements based on customer feedback and market demand.



Mandatory Qualifications


  • B.E., B.Tech., / MCA only.
  • 60% or above in all academics, including the highest qualification.
  • A minimum of 12 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years of demonstrated leadership in agile-based software development and 3 years of customer handling.
  • Scrum Master certification or equivalent Agile certification is required.
  • Strong technical background in MEAN stack technologies or MERN stack, with hands-on experience in MongoDB, Express.js, Angular, React or Node.js.
  • Proven track record of leading Agile development teams to deliver high-quality software solutions on time and within budget.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer relationship management skills.
  • Solid understanding of project management methodologies and practices, with experience in planning, executing, and delivering customer implementations.



Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience working in the FinTech industry is a plus.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate customer requirements into technical solutions.
