Job Description : ETL Testing Engineer Software Requirements: Knowledge of data engineering/orchestration concepts. Experience working with ETL and data pipelines. Familiarity with Cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake or Google BigQuery. Basic understanding of Apache Airflow or Google Cloud Composer. Experience with Data Quality Check tools like dbttest, Soda, Google Dataplex, or similar. Proficiency in Python for implementing and/or automating tests. Strong SQL skills for querying databases and validating data integrity. Overall Responsibilities: Develop and execute ETL testing strategies to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of data. Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to understand data transformation processes and requirements. Create and maintain test cases, scripts, and scenarios for ETL processes. Conduct data quality checks to identify and resolve data anomalies and inconsistencies. Analyze test results and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders. Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance data quality and efficiency. Categorywise Technical Skills: Data Engineering/Orchestration: Understanding of data pipeline architectures and workflows. Familiarity with tools like Apache Airflow or Google Cloud Composer. ETL Testing: Proficiency in designing and executing test cases for ETL processes. Experience with Data Quality Check tools such as dbttest, Soda, Google Dataplex, or similar. Programming Languages: Python: Ability to implement and/or automate tests. SQL: Strong ability to query databases and validate data integrity. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in ETL testing or related fields. DaytoDay Activities: Reviewing ETL requirements and specifications. Designing and executing test cases and scenarios. Analyzing test results and identifying data quality issues. Collaborating with crossfunctional teams to address data anomalies. Documenting test findings and communicating with stakeholders. Qualifications & Soft Skills: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Strong analytical and problemsolving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Attention to detail and commitment to quality. Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies. Preferred Skills and Experience: Experience with Snowflake and/or Google BigQuery. Familiarity with Datorama and DSPs (Demand Side Platforms). Prior exposure to adtech and media agency work processes.
