Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Geographic Information System Developer at GISKernel. The GIS Developer will be responsible for tasks such as Geographic Information Systems (GIS) development, web mapping, software development, and working with ArcGIS Server and ESRI technologies. The role will involve collaborating with the team to develop cutting-edge GIS applications and solutions.

Qualifications

1) Bachelors/Masters in GIS or related field

2) 2+ years working experience in a GIS Developer role, with ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro Desktop, ArcPy, Python or Open Source solutions(Opensource/Leaflet/GDAL etc.).

3) Leverage Esri’s suite of applications, including ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online and Developer tools, to create customized geospatial solutions

4) Experience using Open Source or ArcGIS Web Development with working knowledge on ArcGIS JavaScript API, ArcGIS Rest API and JavaScript Development.

5) Experience in developing APIs in Java or Python (Especially in Django Framework).

6) Expertise in solving complex GIS issues by developing custom algorithms

Good to have:

1) Good working Knowledge of AWS / Azure cloud computing and deploying resources to the cloud.

2) Experience with Azure/AWS DevOps.

3) Experience in CI/CD

Responsibilities:

Develop and customize GIS focused applications.

Create, interpret and maintain written business requirements and technical specification documents.

Perform quality coding to business and technical specifications.

Monitoring and maintenance of all components that make up the GIS Spatial Data infrastructure.

Collaborate with other members on the development team to resolve issues and develop solutions.

Collaborate with Product and Project Management team to determine project requirements, timelines, and risks.
