Job Description:Darwinbox is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Assistant Manager for the Accounts and Compliance department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and compliance, with experience in managing these functions across multiple countries. This role requires you to lead a team, ensuring the smooth operation of payroll, maintaining compliance with GST and Income Tax regulations, and preparing accurate MIS reports. Your ability to manage stakeholders and provide financial insights will be critical to your success in this role. Key Responsibilities: Accounting: Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger. Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records and transactions. Prepare financial statements and reports for senior management. Compliance: Manage compliance with GST, Income Tax, and other relevant tax regulations. Stay up to date with changes in tax laws and regulations and ensure timely compliance. Coordinate with external auditors for financial and tax audits. Handle accounting and compliance processes for multiple countries, ensuring adherence to local regulations. Manage international tax matters and cross-border transactions. Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure financial and compliance objectives are met. Address queries and provide financial insights to stakeholders as required. Payroll:Oversee payroll processing and ensure accuracy and timeliness of payroll disbursements.Collaborate with HR and other teams to resolve payroll-related issues. MIS Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and MIS reports.Provide insights and recommendations based on the analysis of financial data. Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of accounting and compliance professionals. Mentor and train team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
