Inviting applications for the role of Senior Manager, Underwriting – UK/ Lloyd’s and US, Property & Casualty Insurance

Responsibilities

  • Manage teams of 100-150+and service level targets. Providing guidance to direct reports, comprised of Managers, Asst Managers and key SMEs.
  • Monitor, analyses and report on trends in the key underwriting performance drivers.
  • Leading weekly/monthly/quarterly discussions on operations with client UW and company stakeholders.
  • Understanding of risks faced by the function and the controls in place to manage and mitigate the risks
  • Ensuring clarity around priorities and goals for the entire functional area
  • Ability to function effectively in a team environment exercising good judgment
  • Working with senior management and other peers for strategy development and execution planning.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Any Graduate, with UW team-leading span of experience for 50-70+ UW teams as a minimum
  • Relevant experience in the UK and Lloyd’s Underwriting support function for P&C Insurance Industry (Lloyd’s Underwriting –Quotee Log/ Policy Issuance/ Endorsements)
  • GB certified
  • Proficient Underwriting market experience in BPO delivery
  • Data analysis Skills – Proficient
  • Communication – Good Written and spoken Communication Skills
  • Fluent in the English language - both Written and Oral
  • Good knowledge of MS Office specifically MS Excel


Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

  • Knowledge of Bureau/ Non-Bureau market
  • Good understanding of the London Insurance Market
