Job Description for DevOps Engineer About Enact Systems: The Solar Industry is a $200 Billion global industry, growing at a rapid pace in many parts of the world including the US, India, Europe and the Middle East. Enact Systems is innovating and enabling the growth of the solar energy industry. Meant for solar project developers the Enact platform helps scale their operations and grow their revenues by improving sales and reducing costs. Our end-to-end SaaS platform is a leading business platform for the solar industry where users can design, price and manage solar systems. We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team with experience building and scaling services in a cloud environment. Whom we are looking for: Develop and follow operational best practices for tools and automation development that Includes versioning practices, source control, branching and merging patterns, DevOps principles, and Infrastructure as Code concepts and techniques (Terraform). Develop and advocate for CICD best practices, standards, and processes (Jenkins, bitbucket pipelines, AWS code build, etc) Provide support to our development team to support, maintain and upgrade the existing configuration management environment Build and deploy tools to assist with the deployment framework required for the Enterprise platform Develop solutions in alignment with departmental goals, SLAs for availability, scalability, and resiliency Help develop strategies for zero downtime deployments and patching Partner with stakeholders to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement in the deployment and build processes Help troubleshoot issues and work with the team to address the root causes to minimize the chance of a second occurrence. Find opportunities to automate as part of the problem management process, creating automation to avoid issues. Familiar with DevOps practices and continuous testing. Good in Automation and expert in JSON/Yaml. Security and Compliance, e.g. AD, IAM, and cloud compliance/auditing/monitoring tools. Excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences Required Skills: 5+ years of experience in any cloud (AWS/GCP). 5+ years of experience working with revision control systems including Git 5+ years of experience working in Agile teams and project teams Excellent scripting skills in at least one of the following: Perl, Python, Java, Node JS. Direct experience with Jenkins, bitbucket pipelines, AWS code build, or similar CI CD tools Cloud automation experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar configuration tools Hands-on experience with delivering and managing solutions on AWS, and good to have experience with Azure, and/or GCP Should be able to work on multiple tracks on a priority basis in a fast-paced environment Should serve as an escalation point to resolve blocking issues, dependencies, risks AWS/GCP Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer/Architect If you’re interested in becoming a part of a young innovative start-up where you can quickly move forward in your career, then this job is for you.
