Position Summary: Data Protection Analyst (DPA) will be responsible for the monitoring of all Data Loss Prevention events for Proofpoint's Managed Services clients escalating all necessary events to the clients via approved escalation paths. DPAs will also perform health checks and pull monthly metrics from the DLP consoles supporting SPAs and CSMs with monthly reporting. Ensure all tasks performed adhere to the firm’s ISO 27001 Information Security Management System (ISMS). This includes participation in annual information and network security training and acceptance of spot checks on an ad hoc basis to guarantee that Proofpoint is constantly improving upon the organization’s ISMS. Each member of our team must understand the importance of the ISMS and the subsequent handling of client data.

Duties & Essential Job Function: The Data Protection Analyst (DPA) will be responsible for the monitoring of all Data Loss Prevention events for Proofpoint’s Managed Services clients. They will be responsible for escalating all necessary events to the clients via approved escalation paths. The Data Protection Analyst will also be responsible for performing health checks for all of the Data Loss Prevention environments for Proofpoint’s Managed Services clients. They will be responsible for following all associated Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures to perform health checks. The Data Protection Analyst will be responsible for submitting policy recommendations to the Senior Program Analysts based on trends they see during daily monitoring. They will be required to follow the workflow to submit these recommendations. The Data Protection Analyst will be responsible for pulling monthly metrics from the Data Loss Prevention consoles to assist the Senior Program Analysts and Client Service Managers with monthly reporting.

Required Experience: QUALIFICATIONS 1 + years’ experience in information security, digital forensics, intelligence, risk management, or similar field • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Security, Information Technology, Criminal Justice (or other applicable degree, and/or commensurate, applicable experience) Ability to analyze data sets and uncover unique attributes and trends. Demonstrated organizational and scheduling skills. Rigorous attention to detail. Passion to find innovative and creative solutions to complex problems. Ability to work effectively with team members and with clients. Self-motivated, with ability to manage and follow up on multiple tasks simultaneously. Consultative skills and strong judgment Ability to communicate complex ideas and solutions to a variety of audiences. Strong time management skills HIGHLY PREFERRED: Experience working with DLP, SIEM, email and/or web gateway. Analyzing data and deriving business intelligence Performing computer or cyber forensics and investigations Master’s Degree in Information Security, Criminal Justice, Intelligence, or other applicable degree Security+, ITIL, ISO 20/27k, CFE, and related certification
