We are seeking a versatile and experienced SAP Basis and SAP ECC Consultant to join our team. In this dual role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining both the SAP Basis infrastructure and the SAP ECC (Enterprise Central Component) system landscape. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support SAP implementation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities, ensuring the smooth operation of our SAP environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the SAP Basis infrastructure, including installation, configuration, monitoring, and performance tuning of SAP systems and databases.
- Install, configure, and maintain SAP ECC systems, including ECC 6.0 and previous versions, ensuring adherence to SAP best practices and standards.
- Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance and availability of SAP systems and databases.
- Manage SAP ECC system landscapes, including system copies, client copies, system refreshes, and transports.
- Implement and maintain SAP security policies, roles, authorizations, and user management in SAP environments.
- Perform SAP system upgrades, patches, and enhancements, following SAP's maintenance strategy and minimizing system downtime.
- Configure and maintain SAP Solution Manager for system monitoring, incident management, and technical administration.
- Collaborate with functional teams to support SAP application development, customization, and integration projects.
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, operations teams, and end-users on SAP-related matters.
- Develop and maintain documentation, procedures, and standards related to SAP Basis administration and SAP ECC operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- 8+ years of experience as an SAP Basis and SAP ECC Consultant or similar role, with expertise in SAP system administration and operations.
- Proficiency in SAP Basis administration tasks, including system installation, configuration, monitoring, and performance tuning.
- Strong understanding of SAP ECC architecture, components, and technologies, including SAP NetWeaver and SAP HANA (optional).
- Experience with SAP ECC security concepts, roles, authorizations, and user management.
- Knowledge of SAP Solution Manager functionalities, including system monitoring, change management, and technical administration.
- Experience with SAP system upgrades, patches, and enhancements, using tools such as Software Update Manager (SUM) and Support Package Manager (SPAM/SAINT).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Effective collaboration and teamwork skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- SAP certification(s) in SAP Basis administration or related areas.
- Experience with SAP cloud platforms and technologies, such as SAP Cloud Platform (SCP) and SAP HANA Cloud (optional).
- Experience with SAP system migrations, landscape transformations, and system consolidations.
- Familiarity with SAP administration tools and utilities, such as SAP LaMa (Landscape Management).
- Knowledge of SAP integration technologies, such as SAP PI/PO (Process Integration/Process Orchestration) and SAP Data Services.
