Job Title: Snowflake Developer

Location: Chennai, India

Experience: 5-8 years relevant experience in Snowflake development and data

warehousing.

Shift Timings: 3 pm - 12 am IST

Role Overview : We are looking for a skilled Snowflake Developer to join our data

engineering team and help us build and optimize our data warehouse solutions. The

ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing and implementing data

warehouse solutions using Snowflake, along with strong SQL skills and a deep

understanding of data modeling principles.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and optimize data warehouse solutions using Snowflake,

ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements

and translate them into technical solutions.

• Develop and maintain data pipelines for extracting, transforming, and loading

(ETL) data from various sources into Snowflake.

• Perform data modeling and schema design to support reporting and analytics

requirements.

• Optimize SQL queries and database performance to ensure efficient data

retrieval and processing.

• Implement data governance and security best practices to ensure the

confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data.

• Monitor and troubleshoot data warehouse issues, identifying and resolving

performance bottlenecks and data quality issues.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in data warehousing

and analytics, and recommend improvements to existing processes and tools.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• 5-8 years of relevant experience in Snowflake development and data

warehousing.

• Strong SQL skills and experience working with large-scale databases and data

warehouses.

• Hands-on experience with Snowflake features such as virtual warehouses, data

sharing, and advanced analytics.

• Experience with data integration tools and technologies such as Apache Kafka,

Apache NiFi, or Informatica.

• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash for automation and

data manipulation.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot

complex technical issues.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work

effectively in a team environment.

• Experience working in a shift-based environment would be an advantage.
