The role is responsible for driving portfolio Delivery, P&L & operational excellence jointly with vertical sales and horizontal leaders, Customer satisfaction. The role also involves overseeing / review of projects driving process improvements to ensure productivity and improved margins. It will head overall delivery with end to end responsibility to ensure deliveries are aligned to client expectations within the time and budget. Technology Strategy Help evolve the business strategy providing inputs on the direction digital technologies are headed and their future capabilities Set the technology services roadmap aligned to business strategy and priorities Define and develop the B2B Service Business roadmap Decide on strategic choices related to technology – technology stack, build vs buy, talent sourcing, SDLC methodology Assess risk and define security strategy to protect customer data and brand reputation Delivery Own and deliver revenue and margin targets from Bajaj Technology Services Establish deep relationships with senior stakeholders within customers and convince them of the company’s strategic value proposition Define software development lifecycle methodology and drive its implementation and ongoing improvement. Interface and engage with customers at a strategic level, ensuring that not only the current project requirements are met but also forecast the needs or issues that may arise and devise ways to address those proactively. Ensure programs are completed on time, within budget, and within customer expectations for quality and functionality. Ensure complete contract management, including profitability and other parameters across projects. Plan the functional delivery for the year with periodic re-prioritization as per the business priorities Decide on degree of outsourcing, selection of partners, and ensure partners are committed to successful execution Define software development standards and practices Solutions Architecture Governance Scan the market & competitive landscape to identify latest trends and developments (such as enhancements in Amazon Web Service etc.), their implications for BFSD business and technology roadmap Recommend introductions to be made to current technologies, drive innovative initiatives and review their alignment with defined architecture Decide on trade-offs involving time, cost, and design standards Partner management Discuss scope of requirements for specific skills/ expertise with vendors for initiatives, evaluate their capabilities and conduct commercial negotiations Commercial & contract negotiations, contract closure and vendor registration in the system Oversee vendor onboarding and overall invoicing process for new vendor to ensure correct allocation of costs to the businesses Interface with vendors on monthly & quarterly basis for reviewing their performance, assessing quality of deliverables and planning for next quarter Team Management Build a strong talent management model for the function and lay down career growth plan for solution architecture team Participate in recruitment process to identify the right talent at senior positions within the function Establish individual performance expectations and regularly review individual performance of the team Identify and create development opportunities for senior team members to enhance functional knowledge Assess performance of the team and provide feedback to them for delivering best in class services to the business Determine team’s training & development needs to build functional expertise and enhance domain knowledge
