Role Description
This is a full-time role as a Category Manager - D2C Brand at Frido. As a Category Manager, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our online and offline brand presence. Your day-to-day tasks will include developing and executing the brand strategy, analyzing market trends, monitoring competitor activities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent brand messaging and customer experience.
Responsibilities :
- Driving the category business levers like New Season launches, Product life cycles, optimizing the assortment, consumer insights for Sub-cats, Inventory health, channel sub-cat health, Market share.
- Making and managing annual budgets (P&L) to deliver top-line and bottom-line targets of category.
- Collaborate with key teams and key stakeholders
- Developing strategies specific for online channel through assortment planning, pricing, product gap analysis, and merchandise promotion
- Develop and execute effective pricing strategies that align with the growth goals and objectives of channels and organization.
- Implementing health metrics (STR - Full season/Fresh, ROS per day, Stock Cover, Core inventory Share%, Etc) and work with Demand Planning and build accurate forecasts, to minimize Loss of sale due to stock outs.
- Identify customer needs/wants through product, consumer, and brand researches and gather feedback from customers & internal stake holders.
Requirements :
- 5-10 years of experience in buying and planning, with a focus on D2C/Ecommerce.
- Proven track record of successfully managing product assortment, procurement, and inventory planning.
- Strong knowledge of D2C, Ecommerce, and Retail industry trends.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
- Analytical mindset, adept at interpreting data to drive informed buying decisions.
- Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve business objective
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
