Manager – Ignite-Shelters

Job Description The Manager (Ignite-Shelters) is responsible formanaging, coaching and developing the team of project volunteers to ensureefficient and smooth functioning of all learning centres and scale them in asustainable way across the country. He/she will have to work closely with thevolunteer leads, content and training, HR, Operations and other employees. Workin unison with Sr.Manager-Catalyse, board towards achieving program andorganisational goals.Role and Responsibilities:Oversee the efficient andeffective day-to-day operation, track and follow up on project milestones andachieve programmatic goals in timely mannerEngage all stakeholders in shaping shared goals,strategies for the programme to maximize impact & reachBuild systems, processes, culture, and the team(employees and volunteers) to support the programme with a focus on continuouslearning, improvement, and rapid growthProvide support to the volunteers to envision the goalsfor their centers/cities/projects and the required guidance to meet the sameLead, coach, nurture employees, volunteercoordinators/leaders into a high-performance team and promote a strong cultureof volunteerism & org values.EducationalQualification/Experience:Minimum two years’ experiencein managing a teamTeaching, volunteering experience is mustExcellence in project management with the ability tocoach staff, manage and develop high-performance teams, set and achievestrategic objectives, and manage a budgetAny Graduate or Postgraduate preferredKnowledgeand skill sets required:Ability to drive outcome-oriented plans through the team’s collective effortGood influencing skills, people engagement, networkingand listening skillsGood written and verbal communication skillsEmotional maturity to empathise with theperspectives/needs of team membersGood computer knowledge and MS Office skillsHighly resourceful team-player who is self-drivenForward-looking thinker, who actively seeks opportunitiesand proposes solutionsOther Details:Scope:Full TimeAgeCriteria: 22-40Designation: Assistant Manager to ManagerReportingto Senior Manager-CatalyseExpectedJoining Date: ImmediateLocation: Chennai,Pune, Bengaluru,Kolkata,Delhi, MumbaiMinimumCommitment (in years): 2
