Job Description:

We are looking for an Engineering Lead who will mentor the team of developers as well as take up some of the complex technical tasks to boost overall development efforts.

The Engineering Lead will be responsible for project execution planning, schema design, coding, and end-to-end development of the enterprise application modules. The Lead would also be leading a team of developers. The Lead will be responsible for managing and contributing to the day-to-day development activities and will work closely with the CTO to ensure that the project is delivered on time and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technology exploration to achieve innovative goals.
• Determining application functions and building objectives with the team.
• SQL schema design based on the requirement.
• REST API & and other services implementation in Spring Boot based on the requirement.
• Lead and mentor a team of developers.
• Monitor project progress, make adjustments as necessary to ensure timely completion, and communicate project status and progress to leadership and stakeholders.
• Establish and maintain a high-performing team through regular team meetings, performance evaluations, and professional development opportunities.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, and lead by example.
• Ensuring that written code falls in line with the project objectives.
• Identifying and resolving immediate and potential issues with applications.
• Ensure that the team is following best practices for software development, including coding standards and version control protocols.
• Conduct regular code reviews of team members.
• Adapt and keep up with the fast-adopting enterprise product.

Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other technical equivalent experience, along with:

• 8+ years of programming experience writing latency-sensitive applications in Java and SQL (must have).
• Must have good SQL schema design experience.
• Other experience required: Shell or Python Scripting, Docker understanding.
• Has deep technical experience and working background in a wide variety of technologies.
• Exposure to UI development and tech stacks like Flutter would be good to have.
• Exposure to AI/ML would be good to have.
• A proactive approach to spotting problems, areas for improvement, and performance bottlenecks.
• Excellent interpersonal and mentoring skills.
