Business Analyst (SAP MDM / Informatica)

SUMMARY The Master Data Management Business Systems Analyst will play a critical role in engaging with stakeholders and technical team members with technology projects that focus on mastering and governing customers, products, pricing, and chart of accounts. This position will be responsible for engaging with the business, documentation, assisting in scrum activities, assisting in configuration, data analysis, and contributing to the development of the Oracle Customer Data Management platform, inclusive of integrations with Oracle CPQ, Oracle Subscription CX, Oracle Fusion ERP, and other Realpage applications. This role will report to the BEST Data Services Senior Manager in our Business Enterprise Systems Technology department. The successful candidate will take a hands-on approach and will be assisting developers and architects with our Master Data Management (MDM) platform and processes. A successful Business Systems Analyst must take a hands-on approach, ensuring the best service is provided to our business stakeholders, with accurate documentation and adherence to deadlines. This role will also work with key stakeholders across the organization to drive enhancements to a successful implementation. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for engaging with multiple teams (both technical and non) and gathering disparate data files from various sources. Responsible for documenting full process flows, inclusive of data sources, ERDs, swim-lane documentation, and process nuance documentation. Provides in-depth data analysis on data sets that look for data integrity and completeness. Ensures that data inputs are accurate and valid and follow data governance rules. Help normalize data sets to ensure high quality for data uploads. Provide guidance and analysis on processed data that help empower and support data governance rules and validators. Will server as an individual contributor on a broader data team and will be responsible for, but not limited to, product file maintenance, hierarchal mappings, data process rules, configuration mappings and documentation, etc. Will contribute to helping identify opportunities to automate, minimize data integrity issues and maximize productivity. Will work closely with the broader team to help determine root cause analysis on data discrepancies and identify path forward. Responsible for working with business stakeholders to ensure user story acceptance criteria is defined and met. Responsible for working with architect and developers to help unit tech against requirements and user story acceptance criteria. Owning and driving forward all MDM, Data Governance, and Cloud Data Management user stories Helping build out MDM roadmap and strategies ensuring high quality and scalable solutions. Assist operational teams in testing and configuration changes needed to support complex business processes. Will work with broader team to assist in the design of the business layer rules within the Oracle CDM platform. Adopt a proactive, hands-on approach to resolve any issues related to these platforms. Analyze business problems and propose innovative solutions based on rigorous data analysis. Collaborate with onshore and offshore business and technical teams to assist with creating solutions for complex internal business operations. Manage stakeholders and foster timely, data-driven decision making. Work closely with business partners to define strategies for technical solutions, determine requirements, and develop high-level designs. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES Minimum of 3 years as a hands-on Systems Analysts for Master Data Management implementations and data integrations. Hands-on knowledge of Oracle Customer Data Management or equivalent MDM Tool (i.e., Informatica, Reltio, etc.) Minimum of 5 years working on data analysis projects The activities for this role are 40% functional 60% technical. SQL Skills preferred Oracle experience is preferred. Strong communication skills Strong Excel skills are required. Proficient in designing and implementing process workflows and data diagrams. Proven Agile development experience, you can understand what Epics, Features and Stories are and can define one. Excellent problem solver and independent thinker who can create innovative solutions. Exceptional communication, analytical, and management skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to both business executives and technical teams. Able to manage daily stand-ups, escalations, issues, and risks. Self-directed, adaptable, empathetic, flexible, and forward-thinking.
