About the role A Brand Designer plays a crucial role in shaping and maintaining a company’s brand identity. They are responsible for overseeing the visual aspects of a brand and ensuring consistency across all brand-related materials. The ideal candidate would be an experienced designer with the motivation to collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams composed of exhibit designers, floor associates, sales team, facilitators & learning and programming teams, external agencies and more, to produce factually accurate and value-aligned content. Brand Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive branding strategy that aligns with the museum’s goals and values. Ensure that all design work follows brand guidelines and standards. Maintain a library and archive of brand assets for easy access. Develop identity systems for upcoming IPs and exhibits across the museum. Create designs based on research on topics relevant to the mission and vision of MuSo. Design: Lead the design process for various brand aspects like specific campaigns, along with print and digital collaterals that amplify the brand (eg. Annual reports, newsletters, presentations, screen communication in the building, spatial signages, new properties etc.) Create experiences to elevate the museum journey for customers during their museum visits. Create temporary exhibits, independently and collaboratively with local and international brands, aligned to the museum’s goals in a variety of spaces. Brand management: Act as a brand custodian, internally and externally, promoting brand consistency and empowering people to understand the brand better. Be the mediator between different teams for Creative and Marketing and Sales support (for eg. coordinate between the internal design team and agency for design requirements and timelines) Effectively communicate with teammates from other disciplines across the organization, both in person and remotely. Train the organisation periodically on the usage of brand guidelines and messaging. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's degree in Visual Communication, Graphic Design or relevant field. 5 - 6 years experience in branding and marketing communication design. Software knowledge of InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Canva, and Google Suite with a keen interest in illustrations. After-effects knowledge is appreciated. Experienced in print production, vendor management and digital design. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with excellent attention to detail. Stay current on industry trends and competitor branding to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
