This is what #LifeAtBNYMellon is all about.  We’re seeking a future team member for the role of  Vice President, Fund Administration Manager  to join our  GLOBAL TRANSFER AGENCY INVESTOR SOLUTIONS team.  This role is in Chennai, Tamilnadu – HYBRID ( NIGHT SHIFT ) In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:  Manage communications and the overall private equity experience for clients, prospective clients, and those within the firm. Candidates with relevant Transfer Agency experience and a deep understanding of private equity client deals, portfolio management and exit Build strong working relationships with the firm’s key investment thinkers and strategic client advisors to help them communicate effectively about the private equity group’s activities. Manages the daily transactional workflow within the team and aligns team resources accordingly to complete the daily tasks. Identifies areas requiring analysis of operations and resolution for more efficient operations. Oversees fund administration to ensure transactions are handled correctly and timely.  Utilizes MIS reporting to ensure correct and timely processing. Provides product knowledge and technical assistance on complex problems. Acts as the team's initial point of contact for issues requiring escalation. Participates in the recruiting process; instructs, assigns, directs, and reviews the work of fund administration analysts; prepares performance reviews and provides ongoing feedback to staff. Provides input into departmental budgets and planning.  May develop business plan for team/group operations. Develop and drive the continuing re-engineering program to maximize the efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity of the operational areas. Ensure the quality of the day-to-day service equals or betters the performance targets as defined in the service level agreements (SLA’s) in place for each client. Ensure that business risks are identified and reported and that an appropriate mitigation strategy is adhered to.  Ensure that direct reports are motivated and encouraged to develop. Accountable for implementation and management of the Bank’s Performance Management Program and associated development planning initiatives, across AIS Investor Services India Operations Establish and maintenance of systems and controls as are appropriate to the business.   To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:  The role will require the staff to interact within as well as out the department both onshore and offshore. Oral Communication Skills: Presents to or exchanges information with members of own department vertically and horizontally and outside of the work group. Will run own team meetings and is a contributor to line management’s team meetings and those of special initiatives affecting his/her team.  Will ensure all staff needs and requirements are discussed with direct reports on a regular basis and changes clearly explained and understood by all staff. Informs and influences management of processing risks and issues affecting the Transfer Agency team and recommends solutions through leverage of the team. Written Communication Skills:  Prepares concise reports concerning the process, issues and those relevant to the supervision of his/her staff and appropriate to audience which may be to Director level. Client Contacts:  Maintains effective contacts within BNY Mellon at various levels in the organization. Has proven Client Service skills. Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.  9+ years of total work experience is preferred with at least 1-2 years in management.  Experience in brokerage processing is preferred.
