Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Embedded Design Engineer located in Chennai. The Embedded Design Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and implementing embedded software systems and device drivers. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that products meet design specifications, quality, and performance standards. Additionally, they will be involved in debugging and troubleshooting software and hardware issues.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Science or related field with 2 to 5 years experience
  • Experience in embedded C programming, ARM, AVR microcontrollers, Hardware/Software Interfacing, and Embedded Linux Systems
  • Experience in Zephyr RTOS using Nordic Semiconductor platform nRF9160 is a must
  • Strong understanding of device drivers, real-time operating systems (RTOS), and microcontrollers
  • Hands-on experience with debugging tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters
  • Experience in testing and validating embedded software systems and hardware interfaces
  • Knowledge of communication protocols such as CAN, RS485, RS232, UART, USB, SPI, I2C and ADC
  • Ability to read schematics and data sheets for components
  • Experience in Texas Instruments, Microchip, and Nordic Semiconductor platforms required
  • Experience in GPS, BLE, Wi-Fi, 4G, 5G and NB-IoT communication required
  • Prior experience in developing low-power embedded products for IoT applications with cloud data communication is a definite plus.
  • Ability to integrate microcontrollers with many peripherals and sensors such as accelerometer, gyro, altimeter, pressure sensor, temperature, humidity, ECG etc.
