Our Team

At Whatfix, we excel in providing guided assistance across three critical application layers: Desktop, Mobile, and Web. Our team specializes in the end-to-end Desktop DAP layer, a new venture initiated just two years ago. It’s a new product built from scratch and there is still a lot of engineering work going on which means a lot of learning. We currently have nine highly experienced engineers working on the desktop product who are dedicated to pushing the boundaries of innovations.

To date, our team has successfully filed six patents, and we have more in the pipeline. Every day, we tackle challenges that no other vendor or competitor in our industry has managed to solve. The unique aspect of our journey is that we're trailblazers, setting the standards, and paving the way for the entire industry.


Your Opportunity

As part of the Desktop Engineering Team @Whatfix, you’ll have the opportunity to work on complex algorithms, automation APIs, system level APIs, performance engineering and difficult optimization problems. Every problem we solve on the desktop has the potential to be a patentable idea which is why we have so many patents in our hands. Being a part of the desktop team will give you this opportunity to work on complex problems and solutions that can potentially become patents. Programming language is not a barrier for the engineers in our team, we work on C#, javascript and Java fluently. Some of the solutions needed us to explore Machine learning and that's part of our core product now and is being used by many of our customers.


Must-Have:

  • We welcome candidates proficient in C#, Java, Python or any language with a deep interest in technology and a drive for excellence. While we are open to exploring any technology, candidates must be willing to learn and work on C#.
  • 7+ Years experience in writing code and solving technical challenges.
  • Familiarity with building Desktop applications is a bonus and will be preferred.
  • Hands-on Experience in building SaaS applications.
  • Work experience, preferably from SaaS companies, products, or startups.
  • Testing developed features by writing unit tests & debugging issues reported by QA teams. Should be able to own the entire SDLC of a feature or product.
  • Writing reusable code following industry standards & guidelines such as MVC pattern & SOLID principles
  • Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams like product management, UX/UI designers, etc. to ensure timely delivery without compromising quality standards
  • Knowledge of software development best practices, design patterns, System design and architectural principles.
  • Ensuring quality assurance throughout all phases from conception through deployment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Fast Learner & a Team Player.


Good to Have:

  • Experience with ReactJS, Swift, or Objective C.
