Job Description :

Data Engineer

Software Requirements:

Knowledge of data architecture concepts, such as medallion architecture.

Experience in ETL and data pipeline development.

Proficiency in working within the Google Cloud Platform.

Familiarity with Snowflake, especially Snowflake Data Pipelines.

Experience with Apache Airflow or Google Cloud Composer.

Competence in data transformation tools like dbt, Google Dataform, or similar.

Familiarity with Data Quality Check tools such as dbttest, Soda, Google Dataplex, or similar.

Confidence in the Docker ecosystem; familiarity with Kubernetes basics is a plus.

Strong proficiency in Python and relevant libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and similar.

Advanced SQL skills.

Overall Responsibilities:

Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and data scientists to design and implement ingestiontoconsumption table pipelines for various outcome data sources (e.g., DSP and Ad Server data).

Work on the implementation phase of the project to deliver the 'Media Data Model' for ColgatePalmolive, which involves defining audiences, building a database and management UI to capture audience definitions, and connecting audience definitions to paid media exposure and transactional/eventbased data from multiple sources.

Develop and maintain data pipelines adhering to design specifications.

Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the pipeline processes.

Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to address datarelated challenges and requirements.

Categorywise Technical Skills:

Data Architecture:

Understanding of data architecture concepts, including medallion architecture.

ETL and Data Pipeline Development:

Experience in building ETL processes and data pipelines.

Cloud Platforms:

Proficiency in working within the Google Cloud Platform.

Database Technologies:

Familiarity with Snowflake, including Snowflake Data Pipelines.

Workflow Management:

Experience with Apache Airflow or Google Cloud Composer.

Data Transformation Tools:

Competence in tools like dbt, Google Dataform, or similar.

Data Quality Check Tools:

Familiarity with tools such as dbttest, Soda, Google Dataplex, or similar.

Containerization and Orchestration:

Confidence in the Docker ecosystem; familiarity with Kubernetes basics is a plus.

Programming Languages:

Strong proficiency in Python and relevant libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and similar.

Advanced SQL skills.

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering or related fields.

DaytoDay Activities:

Collaborate with SMEs and data scientists to understand design specifications.

Develop and maintain data pipelines according to design specifications.

Perform data quality checks and ensure data integrity throughout the pipelines.

Troubleshoot and debug pipeline issues as they arise.

Document processes, workflows, and configurations.

Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to address datarelated challenges and requirements.

Qualifications & Soft Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

Experience with BigQuery.

Prior experience with Datorama and working with measurement/outcome data from DSPs.

Familiarity with adtech and media agency work processes.
