Role Title: Automation Engineer Manager


Position Summary:

Cigna, a leading Health Services company, is seeking an exceptional Intelligent Automation Manager to join our Intelligent Automation Center of Excellence (COE) team. The successful candidate will actively partner with Intelligent Automation COE leadership, business stakeholders, operational excellence teams, subject matter experts, application delivery teams, and development teams on initiatives that support Cigna's strategic goals centered on using intelligent automation tools (RPA, RDA, AI, ML, Chabot’s, etc.) to help improve operational efficiency, enhance capacity utilization and improve stakeholder experiences across the Cigna enterprise.


As an Intelligent Automation Senior Manager, you will lead high-performing teams, hire and retain strong intelligent automation talent, inspire engineering teams to take risks and manage them, and drive a culture of continuous improvement and accountability. You will also partner with the business on driving strategy and delivering on their product roadmap, provide technical leadership, and encourage your team to start with the end in mind.

  • Enforce modern delivery practices such as continuous integration, continuous delivery, and test-driven development in line with Cigna standards.


Experience Required:

  • Overall 8-10 Years


Experience Desired:

  • Solid managerial and / or mentorship experience
  • Solid experience in software development and management
  • Prior experience working with intelligent automation tools – especially robotics


Education and Training Required:

Primary Skills:

  • Solid technical and marketing / communication skills to be able to build and influence the right technology solutions
  • Strong product management skills and ability to inspire software engineering teams
  • Knowledge and experience with agile development process a must Prior experience with application delivery or solution architecture is required
  • Familiarity with AWS, cloud-native application development or cloud data storage and access
  • Demonstrated experience with thorough problem-solving and analytical skills, combined with strong business acumen
  • Prior experience with business process automation
  • Prior entrepreneurial or startup experience is desirable
  • DevOps and CICD technologies experience is desirable
