This job opportunity closely aligns driving business on our eCommerce channel across multiple platforms. The eCommerce Search Specialist will be responsible for managing and optimizing discovery of our products to ensure the best possible customer experience. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of search algorithms, SEO best practices, and data analysis to improve search visibility, drive traffic, and increase conversion rates.


What are the Key Deliverables in this role?

Business Outcomes

 Understand the business plan on the portfolio from the category marketing team and then develops a strategy to enhance product visibility and conversion rates to drive revenue growth within target ROI guardrails.

 Collaborate with the team to align search strategies with broader marketing campaigns, display ads, and promotional events.

 Leverage a range of retailer platform tools available to gather insights, conduct deep analytics and drive data-driven decision-making to enhance search performance. Utilize tools to create custom reports and dashboards, tracking the effectiveness of search-related initiatives and providing actionable insights to stakeholders.

 Work closely with key account management and business operation teams to ensure product availability aligns with search-driven demand on retailer platforms.

Content and Listing Optimization

 Optimize product listings and categories for search engines and user navigation. Work with content team to improve quality of content that drives both discovery and conversions.

 Conduct comprehensive keyword research using tools to identify high-value opportunities for improving visibility and sales.

PPC Management

 Monitor and report on search performance metrics, including ranking, visibility, and conversion rates, and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.

 Stay abreast of changes and updates to search algorithms and marketing tools, adjusting strategies accordingly to maintain competitive advantage.

 Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to search performance and user experience.


What are the Critical success factors for the Role?

 Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field.

 5+ total years of professional work experience

 4+ years experience in running media and advertising engagement with customers, in a consulting/agency role

 Experience in managing e-commerce marketing budgets (specifically on Big Basket, Flipkart, Blinkit, Swiggy, Zepto, Amazon, 1MG) at well-respected agencies for large enterprise brands. Proven experience in E-commerce search advertising with a strong understanding of platform tools.

 Solid understanding of product listing optimization, SEO, and PPC advertising strategies. Proficiency in analytics and reporting tools with ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable optimization strategies.
