Role – Managerial Responsibilities Overall responsibility for the preparation of all payroll activities including payroll payments, reports, and tax returns. Comply with all the payroll financial and legal requirements, responsibilities, and obligations, including statutory obligations. Ensure teams following accounting procedures and systems used for payroll by the organization. Reconcile general ledger regarding payroll transactions. Maintain and document all payroll records. Responsibility for allocation and use of the payroll budget Assist your line manager Payroll Lead to assess the long-term payroll trends. Prepare and Review reports for Payroll. Responsibility for the payroll team direction, development, performance and maintenance within the organization Internal Audit for all statutory obligations. Detect and process issues related to uncollected payroll Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues or concerns Supervise team in managing month end close, Payroll accounting Drive efficiency, accuracy and value- added initiatives Adheres to all SOX/Control requirements Handling audit queries and resolution in a timely manner. Contributing to periodic meetings, liaising with stakeholders for quick resolution. Qualification, Experience/Competencies Chartered Accountant (CA), MBA Finance, Post Graduate with relevant experience 5-8 years of relevant experience with a US and Canada based company and working as a payroll supervisor. Exceptional people management skills Communication with external payroll vendors such as ADP Process orientated, committed to achieving process excellence, Client Management Understanding of KPI/SLAs in RTR domain Knowledge of automation, Quality improvements Ready to work as individual contributor as and when required Good Knowledge of US GAAP Working in US shift Team Management Experience in team leading is must Assist and support the training and development of team members to meet the expected skills required to perform at role level Ensure team stability and great team synergy
