About the Department


Invest India is the National Investment Promotion and Facilitation Agency under the Department of Promotion for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. It hosts teams working with various government initiatives such as Make in India, Startup India, AGNii, and PMG.


Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Collaboration:

o Provide strategic inputs for the overall Country FDI - promotion strategy.

o Establish strategic collaborations with key stakeholders and industry experts to enhance analytical insights.

• Data-Driven Framework:

o Create sophisticated models and devise a data-driven framework to set targets.

o Utilize advanced analytics to provide actionable insights for target-setting and strategy formulation.


• Export Promotion Advisory:

o Liaise with relevant bodies to drive export promotion through comprehensive reporting and execution advisory.

o Provide strategic support to stakeholders for effective execution aligned with FDI targets.

• Sectoral Research Reports:

o Lead the creation of FDI in-market research reports to guide industrial relations, state initiatives, and buyer relations.

o Collaborate with other verticals to enrich market intelligence and support strategic decision-making.


• Global Collaboration:

o Liaise with Country officers embedded in overseas missions, driving research initiatives in collaboration with think tanks and consulting agencies.

o Establish and nurture global collaborations to enhance the depth and breadth of Country analytics.

• Country Intelligence & Analytics Leadership:

o Drive the Country intelligence and analytics mandate, positioning the organization as a leader in the field.

o Continuously innovate and evolve analytical approaches to stay ahead in a dynamic Country environment.

• Strategic Research Impact:

o Provide critical feedback on strategic research outputs, ensuring their relevance and impact on Country FDI initiatives.

o Contribute to the evolution of research methodologies and best practices.

• Stakeholder Feedback:

o Establish a robust feedback loop from stakeholders.

o Use stakeholder insights to refine and optimize the data-driven target-setting framework.

• Country Expertise: Proven mastery of Country industry intricacies, Comprehensive understanding of global markets and Country regulations, Strategic vision for long-term FDI promotion planning.

• Strategic leadership: Extensive experience in leading Country strategy at a senior level, strategic planning for organizational growth.

• Stakeholder Management Mastery: Demonstrate advanced expertise in managing complex stakeholder relationships. Build and nurture strategic alliances with industry leaders, governmental bodies, and international partners.

• Strategic Communication Leadership: Communicate complex strategies and insights with clarity to diverse stakeholders. Lead communication efforts at an executive level, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.

• Strategic Planning: Drive strategic planning initiatives, aligning long-term goals with stakeholder expectations. Mentor and guide team members in strategic planning and execution.


Qualifications

  • Professional with at least 10- 12 years of strong business finance & commercial experience along with managing teams.
  • Exceptional rounded experience in Data & Research Strategy in large size setups.
  • In-depth knowledge of international Country dynamics, including Country agreements & applicable laws.
  • Educational Qualifications: Diploma or master's degree in economics, business administration, international business, foreign trade, foreign policy, or allied areas.
  • Additionally, experience in Middle East, Saudi will be preferred.
