The ideal candidate should hold a diploma in Mechanical/Instrumentation/Chemical or any relevant Diploma or BSC, BCS, BCA degree and experience in any of the Historian or any other MES tools. The Job involves one or more functions / tasks listed below, depending on the project, where the engineer is deployed. Responsibilities: Implementation on commercial applications – like Process Historian, LIMS, and other MES applications e.g. Data reconciliation, Batch Management etc. Analyzing the reasons for system performance and review / re-write the systems and procedures to improve the system performance. Expected to demonstrate full responsibility for the quality of the deliverables. Ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop engineering solutions. Should be able to logically explain the behavior of the application and its configuration Development of management reports and interfacing of MES software with other software applications, like LIMS, ERP etc. Analyzing issues at the stage of implementation of MES application, develop solutions and implements corrective actions, identifying and resolving the root causes of the issue in the process, and participates in resolving critical process and product problems with customers and vendors. Interacting with Team for operational trouble-shooting, process improvement projects, development of software utilities to address an issue or for general improvement Interacting with consultants and suppliers to determine the compatibility of other systems and products as they may apply to process improvement. Analyzing operating problems to develop solutions and lead the implementation of corrective actions. Providing professional training on the implementation/configuration process to internal employees. The Application Engineer will also support clients in revamp etc. that involve application improvements, sustainability, and modifications. 24x7 support services. And you may be asked to work in shifts Required Qualifications & Experience: Experience required : 3-8 years of work experience Minimum 3 years of latest relevant experience in any of the Historian or any other MES tools. Preferably on Aspen InfoPlus.21 (IP21). Qualification required : Diploma in Mechanical/Instrumentation/Chemical or any relevant Diploma or BSC, BCS, BCA degree (with 60% marks throughout) Should be confident, matured enough for facing customers Good Knowledge of VB.net or Excel VBA would be an added advantage Good understanding of SQL Server & SQL Query. Understanding of SQL Server Reporting (SSRS) would be an additional advantage An analytical mind with problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication, is a must Ability & Willingness to work onsite in India and abroad: as per Project requirements to sites in & around India and overseas
