Sr Engineer/ Dy. Manager Cost Estimation, Proposal & Inside sale

Position Title : Sr Engineer/ Dy. Manager – Cost Estimation, Proposal & Inside sale R Role Type: Individual Contributor Reporting to : Manager – Marketing Location : Mysuru Purpose of the role: This role of Dy. Manager– Cost estimation and Proposal cell reports directly to HeadProposals and will be responsible for cost estimation and customized / tailor-made proposals coupled with tender submission in the designated territory.  This position will be responsible for timely completion of costing and proposal / tender in consultation with Design, SCM, Services, Production and Assembly and guidance from Head-Proposals.  He will be solely responsible for enquiry management system including cost estimation and proposals in the designated territory.  The onus of accuracy of inputs from internal departments lies with this role. Key Responsibilities:  Enquiry analysis with clear demarcation of scope and decision of doing in house and subcontracting based on manufacturing capability.  Customer interaction to understand the requirement with all clarity.  Articulate requirement of customer to get the inputs from various stakeholders.  Management of cost inputs in effective manner to reduce time of deliverables.  Periodic monitoring of cost factors (domestic and international factor) including currency fluctuation to revalidate the costing under intimation to marketing team.  Preparation of price reasonability / justification by applying various applicable factors to convince customers.  Data mining of factors which impacts costing.  Coordination with multiple departments to make a tailor-made proposal aligned to customer’s requirements.  Proven track record of submission of private and government tenders.  Technical discussions with customer in understanding issues and pre-dimensioning at site for coordination.  Management of costing and proposals for easy traceability Personality traits / Competencies:  Strong written and spoken English and presentation skills  Proven ability to manage costing & proposals in a dynamic environment  Strong work ethic, high energy level, motivation and enthusiasm  Competent with MS-Office  SAP operation acquaintance is must  Ability to understand and communicate in Hindi is must Job Specifications/Profile:  BE in Qualification  Previous experience of minimum 8-10 years in capital goods industry  Previous experience of costing and proposals for Engineered-To-Order goods (preferably rotary equipment’s )
